Gabrielle Vizzavona is an award-winning French journalist, wine critic and international speaker.
After earning an economics degree from La Sorbonne, Gabrielle pursued her passion for wine through an intensive training acquired from the MSc in wine management of the International Wine Organization (OIV) and the diploma from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
Since more than 13 years, she is one of France’s major figure in wine appreciation, having spent 6 years as an independent journalist and wine taster for French newspaper Le Figaro, having created her own wine magazine and being a regular speaker in the largest wine trade events for which she hosts masterclasses, live tastings and talks.
As a wine critic, she gets to evaluate around 4000 wines each year and has traveled to more than 30 wine-producing countries. In September 2022, she was awarded France’s best wine journalist of the year by receiving the Curnonsky prize in Paris.
