The FERRANDI Paris Pâtisserie Book wins The Mazille Award 2018 at The 15th Edition Of The Gourmand Book of Périgueux

    On Friday November 23rd 2018, during the inauguration evening of the Book Fair Gourmand Périgueux, Pierre Hermé best pastry chef of the world 2016 and Honorary President of the show awarded the book FERRANDI "PASTRY" Paris La Mazille 2018 prize.

    The Mazille prize awards the best cookbook each year. Taking its name in honor of Andrée Mallet-Maze, known as La Mazille, author of "La cuisine du Périgord" published in 1929, which has made Perigord gastronomy known throughout the world. It congratulates the general quality of the book, the topics covered, and the feasibility of the possible recipes, the practicality and the organization of the various sections of the book as well as the quality / price ratio.

    Already rewarded by the "Gourmand Award 2017", the book PASTRY (Editions Flammarion) illustrates and explains in French and English 200 pastry techniques and more than 130 recipes in three levels of difficulty.

    Based on the pedagogical principles developed by the school, it includes the fundamental techniques, but also encourages creativity thought, essential in this art with exactitude and the expression at its core.
