64th national competition to find the best cooking apprentice in France takes place at FERRANDI

    The final of « The best apprentice chef of France » 2018, organised by the association of Master Chefs, took place on the 22nd January in the teaching restaurant “Le Premier” at FERRANDI Paris.

    Congratulations to Gauthier Corzan for winning, he is studying in his 1ere bac (equivalent UK Year 12, USA 11th Grade) in professional cooking in Avignon

    This 64th edition has been sponsored by Régis Macron, 3 star Michelin chef and Master Chef of France

    The 11 candidates were judged by a jury composed of the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (Master Chefs in France), Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (Winners of the MOF prestigious French competition) and famous chefs. They were judged on:

    • An appetizer
    • A first dish: A Bavarian of avocado, cabbages and broccoli in an orange vinaigrette
    • A second dish: A saddle of rabbit kidneys
    • A dessert: Chocolate orange soufflé
